For the redesign of the course, the RDGS has contracted Kevin Farley of Fluent Disc Sport in Ontario to collaborate and finalize the design. This course is being designed to accommodate people of all skill levels and Moores stresses that “the essence of the sport is to get out, throw frisbees and have fun.” While the holes at the redesigned course will generally be a bit longer than they are now, this course will continue to be a welcoming place for people of all abilities. With new courses popping up each year, this region of the province is becoming a favored destination for all who enjoy the game. And with the announcement that the Northern Ontario Championships will be held in Huntsville, Limberlost, and Dwight in October 2023, fans and spectators are in for a real treat. Councillors try disc golf, a game drawing players from across Ontario to Lake of Bays! Bondi Village Resort ... had their course selected for the recent Provincial Disc Golf Championships. The event brought over 200 visitors to the area. The outing was steeped in friendly competition as discs flew (sometimes even in the direction of the target!). “With common goals like ‘Nature for All’ and the protection, preservation, and promotion of our natural resources, conservation areas and provincial parks can be ideal homes for disc golf courses,” explained Fluent Disc Sport designer Kevin Farley.

Muskoka is welcoming the start of the Ontario Provincial Disc Golf Championships as players make their way to the course by Bondi Cottage Resort in Dwight... A ribbon-cutting ceremony on Oct. 14 was attended by Lake of Bays Mayor Terry Glover and District of Muskoka Chair John Klinck... Over 200 participants are expected to attend the tournament.

“We had an existing course and wanted to upgrade it. Kevin Farley (FluentDisc) designed the new one and WOW. There are two courses, actually, WOLF TRACKS is the championship course, with 18 holes wandering across our old pioneer fields and through the bush. There are two lookouts on the course, with great views. It is the first championship course in Muskoka,” explained Nancy Tapley with Bondi. “It has been very popular, with people driving from Sudbury and Kitchener just to play.
