The name “Borealis” reflects both our Canadian roots and a broader connection to nature and the skies, a nod to the aurora borealis that graces our northern landscapes. Paired with the Latin subtitle Viginti Octo Catenae, meaning twenty-eight chains, the name also subtly reinforces our identity as Fluent, a company grounded in clarity, precision, and communication through design.

Latin, a language of timeless structure and expression, mirrors our design philosophy: every element intentional, every detail with purpose. The Borealis features a 28-chain, 3-ring configuration (14 outer, 7 middle, 7 inner), each strand suspended from independently mounted slide points to maximize catching performance and reduce spit-outs. Chains are separated by independent connecting rings, ensuring a consistent and forgiving strike zone from every angle.
