Fluent Borealis

Viginti Octo Catenae  - Twenty-Eight Chains

The Fluent Borealis is our flagship Championship-level disc golf target, a statement piece that combines elite performance with enduring design. The name “Borealis” reflects both our Canadian roots and a broader connection to nature and the skies, a nod to the aurora borealis that graces our northern landscapes. Paired with the Latin subtitle Viginti Octo Catenae, meaning twenty-eight chains, the name also subtly reinforces our identity as Fluent, a company grounded in clarity, precision, and communication through design.

Latin, a language of timeless structure and expression, mirrors our design philosophy: every element intentional, every detail with purpose. The Borealis features a 28-chain, 3-ring configuration (14 outer, 7 middle, 7 inner), each strand suspended from independently mounted slide points to maximize catching performance and reduce spit-outs. Chains are separated by independent connecting rings, ensuring a consistent and forgiving strike zone from every angle.

Built to meet PDGA Championship standards and engineered with hot-dip galvanized steel and powder-coated components, the Borealis offers a 25-year warranty, making it one of the most durable baskets available today.

Our Fluent Orange, Borealis Blue, and Lumen Green palettes were chosen for their clarity, contrast, and endurance. Each shade is formulated to resist UV fading and retain its brilliance year after year, ensuring that baskets remain visible and distinct in every environment, from the shadows of dense forests to the open light of lakesides and fields. These colours aren’t just durable; they’re designed to perform wherever disc golf is played.

Fluent Orange anchors the palette as our signature tone, bold, confident, and unmistakably Fluent. It stands out in every setting and instantly conveys presence and precision. Borealis Blue adds a calm yet vivid complement, reflecting sky and water while offering excellent contrast against sand, rock, and grass. Lumen Green brings vibrancy and balance, evoking the life and energy of the sport while maintaining visibility under canopy and shade.

Solum System

The Fluent Disc Sport Solum System is a professional-grade artificial turf surface and accessory line engineered specifically for disc golf tee pads. From the Latin "solum," meaning “ground” or “foundation,” it reflects the core principle behind its design, to provide a stable, enduring base for every throw. Just as solum denotes the essential layer that supports life and growth, Solum provides the firm, consistent surface that underpins player confidence and performance.

Designed to deliver consistent footing, a natural feel, and reliable performance in all weather conditions, Solum features a 25 mm stitch height combined with a reinforced multi-layer backing. The system blends PE and PP fibers in a dense configuration that eliminates the need for loose infill materials such as silica sand or rubber pellets.

Solum provides a firm yet forgiving surface that remains stable under load while reducing maintenance requirements and environmental impact. Its advanced non-infill design ensures a cleaner installation and consistent performance through freeze-thaw cycles and heavy use.

Course Ammenities

Fluent Disc Sport can also supply top of the line park equipment such as commercial grade benches and waste bins for use in your tee pad areas.  Ammenities like benches provide a place for players to rest between holes during tournament play which is often a bit slower than regular rounds, and also helps keep bags off the ground when there's morning due or after rain.  Waste bins will also help keep the course cleen and make for a more rounded out and professional looking course.  These types of ammenities often make it into the comments left online as players tour around, and are very appreciated when discovered!
